Fall Out Boy have announced that Professor Green will support them on their UK tour.
As a band with a keen love of hip-hop and a healthy disregard for genre, it makes perfect sense for Pete Wentz and co. to be supported on tour by Professor Green, as well as punk duo Matt & Kim.
The band are set to play Leeds (3 October), Aberdeen (4 October), Birmingham (6 October), Cardiff (7 October), Manchester (9 October), Bournemouth (10 October) and two dates in London (11, 12 October) to promote new album, American Beauty/American Psycho.
Having already received rave reviews from their January show in Islington, London, this next tour looks set to be collosal.
Green is clearly delighted by the booking, tweeting:
I’m gonna be bringing a real heavy fucking set for the fall out boy tour! Hard night out / oh my god / Avalon / forever falling etc

When asked by Gigwise recently about their love of hip-hop, Pete Wentz and Andy Hurley discussed a variety of acts. "I like Wiz Khalifa's new album" said Wentz. "In the US people think he's just like a pop figure but I think that goes way beyond that. Some of the stuff he's done with his collective Taylor Gang is similar to some of the things we've done with DCD2 but in another fashion which is really cool."
Wentz also praised Young Thug ('He's one of those 'genius on a whole other level') before singling out the Makonnen remix for 'Down For So Long' featuring a verse from Ezra Koenig. Andy Hurley took time to praise Killer Mike and EL[-P "Run The Jewels is the only thing I like in hiphop any more. El-P is my favourite producer and has been for a while. Him and Killer Mike together is just great. That's been my favourite record of the past year for sure."
