Caribou has shared a video for ‘Can’t Do Without You’, a standout track from one of our favourite LPs of last year. Watch it below.
Featured on 2014's Our Love, ‘Can’t Do Without You’ is one of the more joyous songs on the album, which explores the tumultuous aspects of wonderful and soul destroying love. In the same vein, Lorenzo Fonda's video features a boy being chased by a vibrant multicoloured fish-like creature (brought to life by Viva La Puppet and Brooklyn's Ghost Robot). The child befriends the creature, only to be abandoned.

Brilliantly the story has a happy ending: anyone who wants to recreate the wild eyed innocence should enter the competition to win the creature. Writing on Caribou's website, the giant alien fish creature explained: "You've just seen me in the 'Can't Do Without You Video' but where am I going next? Give me a purpose, an adventure, somewhere unique for me to call home. Can you provide me with a special plan for the rest of my days? I'm 12 feet long, 5 feet tall, 4 feet wide and weigh 50 lbs. Tell me what your dream is for me by emailing before April 22nd. If your idea is chosen I will be delivered to you ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD."
