Fancy something a bit different this summer? Something where you can dance on scrap cars whilst the DJ spins records from the back of a Hackney carriage taxi? Or perhaps a rave up compliments of Plump DJs inside the four walls of a huge Chinese fortress? Then look no further; Beat-Herder is the name and having bags of fun is their game.
This is a festival for those who want to live in a magical merry-go-round for three days and do things that you simply cannot do elsewhere. A place where you can dance in a church with the vicar banging out tunes and the hedonistic congregation rejoicing in madness.

Next weekend is the 10th Birthday for the Beat-Herder Crew and they will certainly be celebrating in style. Huge electronic acts such as Basement Jaxx, Leftfield, and Erol Alkan will ensure that the party simply explodes amongst the trees, fields, and sheep of the Ribble Valley.
For more chilled-out types, The Levellers, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, and The Lancashire Hotpots will provide sing song and an opportunity to relax and enjoy the local brew.
Other acts to look out for are 2 Bad Mice, Nightmares on Wax, A. Skillz, Greg Wilson, Andrew Weatherall, and Dreadzone.
Enjoy the trip up north; you will not be disappointed.
Beat-Herder Festival takes place between 17 and 19 July in Sawley, Lancashire. For more information, click here.
