"Me and Alex Turner - see each other every day. We're on MSN just constantly talking," Craig Roberts jokes when I stupidly ask him about his relationship with the Arctic Monkeys frontman. "No, he's off conquering the world somewhere."

He starred in the Turner-soundtracked Submarine and The Killers' video for 'Here With Me' - so he's no stranger to the music industry. Now, playing the wide-eyed music scout who's yet to be completely corrupted by the unforgiving music industry in the darkly comic Kill Your Friends alongside Nicholas Hoult, Roberts is certainly the most music savvy in the film.
Does he consider himself to be similar in real life? “I’m the complete opposite. I know nothing. I know that Kanye West is good and that he should run for president. If Donald Trump can, he should.”
However, he has had the opportunity to compare US live crowds to UK ones, with worrying results. “The only show I saw in the US was Lil Wayne at The Staples Centre. They came out and said ‘put your twos in the air’ and a gunshot actually went off, and I left. I was petrified.” I went to see The Weeknd recently [at The Roundhouse] . He was actually incredible live."
