For the fourth of our guest playlists from each and every member of The Coral this week, guitarist Paul Molloy handpicks choice cut tracks under the banner of 'Punk Menace'
This week, we've had the eclectic sounds of what frontman James Skelly has been enjoying in the last month - taking in everything from metal to reggae and soul, before drummer Ian Skelly took us on a journey of exploration into the blues and keyboardist Nick Power revealed songs inspired by train travel.
Now, Molloy kicks out the jams with punk attitude - featuring the likes of The Who, The Stooges and The Sonics alongside Black Sabbath, The White Stripes and more - listen below.
"The theme of these tunes is menace," says Molloy. "All songs, although not all categorised solely under the 'Punk genre' banner, are in some ways more Punk to me than a lot of 'Punk'. Some are either proto-types of Punk or just have a Punk manner. Whether it is a heavy riff, a lyric, or just an attitude, most of these songs have an allusion of menace."
