The Libertines have unveiled two huge tracsk from their long-awaited third album. Check out 'Glasgow Coma Scale Blues' and 'Anthem For Doomed Youth' below.
In typical Libs' fashion, the first song 'Glasgow...' was unveiled in the wee hours as 'a reward for nightowls', before the album's title track was dropped later.
'Glasgow Coma Scale Blues' in the meantime, is a slice of classic Albion garage rock. Carl Barat and Pete Doherty share vocals over a burning and juddering riff and squealing solo as The Libertines go self-referential, declaring "the only thing that kept us apart was your cold, unloving heart" and asking "what happened to the joy in your heart, to the boy at the start?"
The love is back, as are the boys in the band - and it's quite a glorious noise.

Then, the band dropped 'Anthem For Doomed Youth' - a tender, aching and swaying lullaby about the pain and beauty of those nights gone awry. The band had previously performed it at Glastonbury with Ed Harcourt, when fans knew it as 'Handsome'.
