FFS, the supergroup comprising members of Franz Ferdinand and Sparks, have revealed a bizarre new song 'Collaborations Don't Work'. Listen below.
The two bands announced back in March that they were teaming up for a series of live dates under the name FFS, alongside a short video previewing the song 'The Domino Effect' - before dropping the excellent tracks 'Piss Off' and 'Johnny Delusional'. They've now released their new single, the ironically titled 'Collaborations Don't Work'.
The six minute song goes through several stages, starting off as a lo-fi acoustic number before becoming more explosive with the help of drums and strings. It then strips back into something vaguely sinister, as the lyrics develop accordingly: "Collaborations don't work, he's eyeing your new lover / Then one night you discover him underneath your covers." Then, in a sort of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' move, it becomes operatic, and things take off even further from there.
