The Weeknd is set to release a new single next month, according to a tweet from Republic Records executive Charlie Walk.
Charlie Walk revealed he had heard a new weekend track on his personal Twitter account:
I just worked out to the craziest @theweeknd song ever. Can't wait for you to hear it in June!

Although it is unclear whether Walk is referring to a lead single or an entire album, the Canadian singer is certainly set to drop new material this summer, although he has denied recent reports of an album release date at the end of August.
information about my album date is false. i apologize to the fans for the inconvenience. XO

The single will follow recent years of successes for Abel Tesfaye (The Weeknd), from his debut album Kissland which saw him collaborating with Drake, to a Coachella headline slot to a number 3 Billboard 100 hit with 'Earned It' for the 50 Shades of Grey movie released earlier this year.
The Weeknd performed a new song rumoured to be entitled Mood Music at SXSW and Coachella earlier this year, which is suggested to be the new single or album track.
