Paul McCartney has stepped in to the ongoing Gallagher feud, urging Oasis to simply 'get together and make some good music'. As the great man once said, 'we can work it out'.
The chances of a long-rumoured Oasis reunion have been growing more unlikely by the day, with recent weeks seeing Noel blame 'Liam's people' for the comeback rumours, before Liam responded by comparing him to Katy Hopkins and calling him a 'prick' who should 'leave One Direction alone'. The latest reports suggest that Liam is planning to reform the band without Noel.
One man who knows a thing or two about inter-band tension is Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney, who gave optimistic but cautious advice to the warring brothers in an online Q&A with Japanese fans.
“My advice to them? Just get together and make some good music,” McCartney said. “But they have got to want to do it. I think a lot of people would like them to do that. They are pretty cool guys.”
He continued: "I don’t know if they will ever make up. It would be good because I think everyone likes brothers to like each other – and make up. It’s a pity because they are very good together. Like many brothers, they are crazy. But it would be nice if they got together."
Both brothers are yet to speak out of the latest rumours.
Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher will headline Latitude Festival, Calling Festival and Summer In The City this summer with his High Flying Birds.
