Festival Republic launch new East London festival Community

New event will showcase emerging talent and are looking for applicants

Festival Republic have launched a new festival called Community which will take place in East London this November, focusing in new bands and DJs.

Taking place on 3-5 November, the festival aims to "bring together the music community with the living, working and visiting communities of musicians and music lovers of Shoreditch." Upcoming bands, DJs and producers for 2016 will play the London event across Shoreditch and Hoxton's countless amount of venues, as well as in offices, bedrooms and unusual spaces.

The managing director of Festival Republic Melvin Benn said: “This is an urban, multi venue emerging talent event inspired by our love of the fact that live music just never stops getting better. But we want to present it in the Community. It will represent the energy of our musical culture and the innovation of one of the most innovative and vibrant areas in the UK.”

Whilst the festival's curator and promoter Jon Mcildowie said: "Community is an opportunity for us to share the music that we are all excited about and to introduce new artists to the public before anyone else."
