Emily Eavis has said that selfie-sticks will be welcome at this year's Glastonbury festival, despite the device being banned from a number of venues and festivals around the world.
In an interview with NME, Eavis said: "A lot of festivals have banned selfie sticks, but we're not really in the business of banning stuff. We haven't really decided where we stand on them. I'm going to walk around and see if they're getting in the way or not!"
Earlier this year, a number of Northern American festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and Sasquatch listed the selfie-stick amongst its prohibited items. London's O2 Arena and O2 Academy Brixton followed.
Eavis went on to discuss the new aspects of this year's festival including a new woodland glade area: "That's where Strummerville will be located this year. It's going to have a quiet, kind of campfire vibe."
The Other Stage has also undergone changes: "We've got a new structure for the Other Stage. Currently it's the standard dome stage, which you see everywhere. The new one is a rectangular stage, which hasn't been seen anywhere, and then on the front of it, Joe Rush has done an amazing installation. My project is to try give the Other Stage its own identity because it's an amazing stage with so much incredible music on it."
Eavis went on to hint at secret sets. Glastonbury festival will be headlined by Kanye West, Foo Fighters and The Who on the weekend of June 26-28.
