Earlier this month, Jackson confirmed that her new album, which will be her first in seven years, will be released this fall via her own Rhythm Nation Records (in partnership with BMG).
Today, she took to Twitter to post a short excerpt from a new track, along with the caption: “I wanna tell you how important you are to me! Love J. #ConversationsInACafe”. You can check out the song clip, along with an accompanying video of hand-written lyrics, below.

The album will presumably be called Conversations In A Cafe, as Jackson has used the hashtag #ConversationsInACafe in several Tweets promoting her new album – although no title has yet been confirmed. Meanwhile, Jackson announced the first leg of her upcoming Unbreakable World Tour on Monday, with North American shows kicking off in August.
While more worldwide dates are expected to be announced, Jackson revealed that she will be performing 36 shows around the US and Canada this fall. The tour will start in Vancouver, BC on August 31 and run through November 12 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Along with the tour announcement, Jackson also posted a video to her Facebook page, giving fans a look at the auditions for the upcoming tour.
