The Killers played their first live show of 2015 at Firefly Festival over the weekend, during which they paid tribute to Kings Of Leon, who had been forced to cancel their headline slot the previous night.
Kings Of Leon were due on stage at the Delaware festival when an announcement came over the loud speaker: "Dangerous, inclement weather is coming. Please clear the festival site." Festival-goers were then instructed to take down their pop-up tents and poles, before being led off the site and told to remain in their vehicles during the storm. And you thought Glastonbury got it bad.
As a result, headliners Kings Of Leon never got to perform - but The Killers paid homage to them the next evening during their set (their first live appearance since 2014) covering two of the band's songs - 'The Bucket' and 'Use Somebody'.

In a recent interview with Gigwise, the band's frontman Brandon Flowers said, "I feel like I need to shake this idea that I'm just really arrogant. In the early days I was actually just really insecure, I would puff my chest a lot and say things I had no business saying. That's the shame of it all - it can stick with you."
Flowers recently released his second solo album, The Desired Effect, which was preceded by The Killers' 2012 album Battle Born.
