Daniel Jorgensen, a previous touring member of Owl City, has been charged with criminal sexual contact after an incident in 2013.

Daniel Jorgensen was on tour with the electro pop band when the incident in question occurred. He was indicted on Tuesday in New Jersey, with authorities claiming that he committed criminal sexual contact on a beach in Atlantic City, then attempting to take a 14-year-old girl to both his hotel room and the band’s bus to have sex.

Jorgensen faces 10 years in prison if he’s found guilty, with his bail being set at $100,000.

As Associated Press reports, Jorgensen is said to have contacted the girl through the internet and mobile phone, urging her to meet up when the band played a show in Atlantic city.

Jorgensen was never a permanent member of the group, and Owl City manager Steve Burksy commented on the incident, as well as the termination of his employment at the end of 2013. The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported the statement.

"As of this weekend, we have terminated Daniel Jorgensen’s employment and all involvement as a touring member of Owl City," Bursky reportedly said at the time.

"Please understand that this business decision does not implicate Daniel in the judicial system, but was both necessary and appropriate given the allegations that have surfaced over the last handful of days."
