A video has emerged of a 15-year-old Taylor Hawkins playing the drums - clearly highlighting the drummer’s talents from such a young age. Watch it below.
Consequence of Sound reports that the footage was shot in 1987 at Laguna Beach High School’s Battle of the Bands. It shows a teenage Hawkins and his band performing their interpretation of Van Halen’s ‘Panama’.

In other Foo Fighters related news, the man responsible for organising a 1,000 people rendition of ‘Learn To Fly’ was reduced to tears after discovering that the band have agreed to play in his hometown of Cesena, Italy.
The video went viral last week, and features 1,000 local musicians covering the 1999 Foo Fighters single. It was organised in a bid to get Dave Growl and co to visit the fans’ local area. Well, mission accomplished.
Fabio Zaffagini recently recalled his response to Dave Grohl’s reaction with The Guardian, saying, "I started crying like a baby. I'm not an emotional person, but so much went into it. "I thought it was a joke when I first saw it. When I realised it was him, I started crying again! I don’t cry often, but it’s been very hard to contain the emotions I’ve had."
