Annie Lennox's daughter, Tali Lennox-Fruchtmann, has paid tribute to her late boyfriend after he drowned in a tragic kayaking accident over the weekend, saying, "My heart is shattered."
After getting into difficulty, Lennox-Fruchtmann, 22, was rescued from the Hudson River and a search effort undertaken to find her boyfriend, Ian Jones.
After a man's body was found in the water near to the Poughkeepsie Yacht Club, an autopsy confirmed the body to be Jones, 32, on Tuesday. A police statement read: "The autopsy has revealed no injuries or trauma to Mr. Jones' body, and the findings are consistent with drowning."
Lennox-Fruchtmann took to Instagram to post images of herself and Jones, writing: "My heart is shattered. My best friend, my soul mate, my partner in crime & creativity, the LOVE & LIGHT of my life is no longer with me. All the love that has been sent to me is giving me the strength to get through this.
"I know that he is so so happy that I was safely rescued. I have eternal gratitude for experiencing a love from Ian that was so unbelievably deep & true. We truly LIVED. Let us honor & celebrate this exceptionally beautiful soul & keep following the light."
