Following two successful EP releases, and a lifetime worth of blistering live shows, the punk-trio have released their debut album today (21 August) on Little Man Records.
Their sound has been kicked into overdrive, adding stadium-sized production to their already high-octane and unforgiving garage-punk sound. Dark Black Makeup covers a whole spectrum of themes, blending "the cold reality of modern American life with the imaginative, escapist fantasies of young dudes raised on a diet of trash/pop culture."
Speaking about the new record, bassist and singer Isaiah Radke explained: "Being home-schooled, we began to find we didn’t have enough material to write songs about". He continued, "But having had real life experiences out on the road – going to play places like Download Festival on our first ever day abroad was insane and scary and wild – we suddenly had a tonne of new things to write about. That’s all gone into the album."
