An Enrique Iglesias performance last Saturday (12 December) caused outrage from fans in Texas. Causing quite a stir, the attending McAllen residents from the great state apparently got more than an eyeful when they went to see Iglesias perform his new album Sex and Love.

Appearing at the Veterans Memorial Stadium, Iglesias apparently irked fans after they saw the huge stage screens popped up with the name of his latest album, Sex and Love.

McAllen police officer Vince Ousley, who worked as event security for Iglesias' show, said in a report by Texan newspaper The Monitor: “The first thing I saw was the big ‘Sex and Love’ plastered on the three screens on the main stage in the stadium,” the local police officer said. “I made a comment to some of my coworkers about it, that it didn’t seem right, given the venue and what this night was about.”

In a later Facebook made by Ousley, he accuses Iglesias of saying at least one swearword (shit), and that the Bailamos balladeer drank "some sort of liquor" while being onstage. Also, Ousley notes that he saw beach balls marked with the album title "sex and love" thrown into the crowd, which happened to have hundreds of children present.

Ousley went on to say in The Monitor's report that Iglesias' album title should have been an immediate reg flag for city officials. “(Organizers) knew the name of his album prior to booking him,” he said.

“They knew he was gong to be promoting that. It had to all be in a contract of some sort. I just don’t think it reflects positively on the morals and ethics of our local government here.”

Seeing as Texas is and still remains a highly religious ground, Iglesias' performance could have been held somewhere less biblical, still at least the title of the album is Sex and Love, and not Sex and No Marriage.
