Iggy Pop has suggested that his new album, Post Pop Depression, may be his final album.
The punk icon and Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme suprised the world last month, when they revealed that they had been making a record in secret, with the Homme-produced Iggy album Post Pop Depression set to drop on 11 March.
In an interview with Beats 1 presenter Matt Wilkinson, Pop said, !I feel like I’m closing up after this… That’s what I feel. It’s my gut instinct.!
The Stooges ex-frontman expanded, "If you call me and you want to work out a deal to come and sing ‘Happy Birthday’ at your mother’s, something like that, I’ll refer you to someone but to really make a real album you really have to put everything into it and the energy’s more limited now.!
However, all is not lost for Iggy Pop fans, as he will be touring his latest album with Queen's of The Stone Age's Josh Homme, with whom he created the collaborative album. The duo will be embarking on the world tour in Spring.
