In what now seems to be becoming a concerning tradition, a petition has been set up to step Coldplay from headlining Glastonbury 2016.
Today it was revealed that Chris Martin and co would be topping the bill at Glasto for the fourth time in their career - inspiring a mixed reaction from festival fans, with some finding it to be the perfect match, while others found it dull and predictable.
Now, just as it was with Kanye West last year, a petition has been started in a bid to stop Coldplay from appearing this year.
Entitled 'Cancel Coldplay's headline slot and get a rock band', the mission statement reads: "Coldplay are an insult to music fans all over the world. We spend hundreds of pounds to attend glasto, and by doing so, expect a certain level of entertainment. Lets prevent this musical injustice now."
It only has a few signatures so far, but we daresay that will pick up. The Kanye petition clocked up over 100,000 signatures in the end last year, so who knows?
The other two headliners and the rest of the line-up are expected to be announced in the coming months, with Muse, Adele, Foo Fighters and Radiohead all among the rumoured names.
