Nick Grimshaw has ruled himself out as a judge on the next series of The X Factor, after just one stint on the show.
The Radio One breakfast show host joined Simon Cowell's talent show for its twelfth season last year, but his performance was criticised by some as being "lacklustre", and rumours quickly began circulating that he would be axed.
Now, a spokesperson for Grimshaw has told The Sun, "After careful consideration, Nick's decided to rule himself out as a judge on this year's X Factor. He loved working on last year’s series alongside Rita, Cheryl and Simon but it was very much a once-in-a-lifetime experience. He remains a massive fan of the show and is looking forward to watching it this year."
It's not clear whether Rita Ora, who was also a new addition to the judging panel last year - joining Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini (formerly Cole) - will be returning. She had previously said, "I don't know if there'll be time, my main priority is my album."
Meanwhile, the show's co-host, Caroline Flack, may also be preparing to leave the show to make time for a role in the West End revival of Chicago.
