Ozzy Osbourne’s former manager, Steven Machat, has said that he believes Osbourne’s split from his wife Sharon is a publicity stunt.
The pair have been married since 1982, and have three children together - though their relationship has been notoriously turbulent, with numerous physical altercations throughout their marriage.
Last month, amid claims that Ozzy had an affair with celebrity hairdresser, Michelle Pugh, Sharon confirmed on The Talk that the couple had split.
“It’s true,” she said, adding, “I’m not with him. I just need time to really think about myself… what do I really want for the rest of my life.” When asked by her co-host Sara Gilbert why she had decided to end the marriage now, despite weathering many rough patches in the past, she said, “I’m 63 years of age and I can’t keep living like this.”
Now though, despite daughter Kelly Osbourne wading in to attack Pugh on Twitter, Ozzy’s former manager Steven Machat has voiced his scepticism over the whole thing.
“I would put money on [the fact that] it’s a publicity stunt,” he told Radar. “They’re going on a Black Sabbath tour. She would do this in a minute - it’s propaganda! Sharon is clever enough to make a story that the press would read, so all of a sudden he becomes relevant again,”
