Aerosmith have announced their ‘farewell’ European tour.
The Boston-originated rock band, who recently finished a tour of South America, have added to their already annouced Download Festival headline show. They cover a vast geograhical area going as far east as Georgia and as far north as Scandinavia. Their closest gig to the UK is the 3 Arena in Dublin.
The band issued a statement saying: "Aerosmith will return across the Atlantic with one of the greatest rock shows ever seen and will undoubtedly be the ultimate must see event of 2017 as the band embark upon this, their 'farewell' tour, saying 'Aero-Vederci Baby!'," a statement from the group said.
Although Steve Tyler previously substantiated the above statement in June saying he intends 2017 to be the last Aerosmith tour, the band who've been together for 46 years have in the spoof sketch above kept things vague, giving some hope they might not be at the end of the road.
At one point, Tyler asks Perry if there’s “any truth to the rumours that this could be the last hurrah?” for Aerosmith, to which Perry replies: “Who the hell knows?”
It's best not to take any risks and banking on them coming back, though as 46 years in a band is good innings.
