Green Day's frontman, Billie Joe Armstrong, got down to the nitty gritty details of politics during a webchat with fans.
The chat that was hosted by The Guardian, saw all manner of questions coming from fans, ranging from political nuances, to questions about their latest album, Revolution Radio.
It was quite apt, that just on the back of Donald Trump's successful election campaign, that the punk band's fans were given what was pretty much an open floor for questioning.
When asked for their stance on Hillary Clinton, Armstrong responded: "I voted for Bernie first. Hillary Clinton is not the president of the US, she has to own that. The bigger problem is Trump, and how you deal with fascism. Emails are obsolete. I've had a fascist president for three days - I don't know how to deal with it yet."
The band were then asked about their stance on LGBT rights, and their support of a "queercore" band in 1994.
Armstrong responded: "We accept anyone who feels marginalised at any Green Day event. Period. Especially if you're gay or trans, black, white, brown, or of any nationality. Period. Green Day is a safe place for you to be. I think it's a problem that we have to face every day, and we have to do whatever we can to fix it."
In the darker corners of the webchat, the band were asked for their go to lunchable, and/or Oreo, "Pizza lunchable! And Oreo: plain, regular, old school." Tré Cool responded.
Green Day are set to head out on their tour of the uk in 2017.
