Blissfields festival have announced their first crop of acts for the 2017 event, with Metronomy unveiled as the first headliner. Sundara Karma and The Japanese House will also make an appearance. See the lineup so far below.
Returning to Hampshire in July, the 5000 capacity festival will also feature performances from Lady Leshurr, S4U, Dub Pistols and Radio 1 Xtra's Sian Anderson - with many more yet to be announced.
Taking a step into the surreal and unknown, the festival will adopt 'The Bizarre' theme for 2017, with organisers describing the festival as a "tunnel through the fantastic, via fantasy and freakshow".
"Blissfields will be the gateway into new frontiers where only the unexpected can be assumed."
Adding to the unique experience, Blissfields will offer festival-goers the chance to take in an impressive 360 bird's eye view of the site, with free hot air balloon rides on offer. “I used to run free tractor rides”, says organiser Paul Bliss, “back when the festival was on the land behind our house. We wanted to bring a bit of that back, only on a scale we could never have done back then”.
Metromony's headline performance follows the release of their back to basics Summer 08 record, which was released last year. The band, lead by Joseph Mount, released the video for Robyn-featuring track 'Hang Me Out To Dry' last month.
Meanwhile, supporting band Sundara Karma have this month released their debut record Youth Is Only Ever Fun In Retrospect to rave reviews, and look set to continue their rise to stardom in 2017.
Blissfields has played host to some of music's biggest names as they were on the cusp of breaking-through. Bastille performed in 2012, Sam Smith in 2013 and Years & Years in 2014 - so keep an eye of those smaller names!
Blissfields Festival takes place 6 - 8 July.
