GALA Festival returns to Brixton

Food, drink and disco is back in South London

GALA Festival returns to Brixton Photo:

Gala, the Brixton-based one-day festival, will return this year with a brilliant lineup of music, independent food stalls and bars. Check out the lineup and details below.

Held in South London's Brockwell Park in May, the event will feature performances from Studio 54's Nicky Siano, Paradise Garage DJs, and Horse Meat Disco - who will be curating their own stage, which will include guests Honey Soundsystem and Mood II Swing.

Rather fittingly due to its location, the event will include a special David Bowie tribute set by Late Night Tuff Guy.

Aside from the music, some of the best independent food and drink traders South of the river will fuel the party. Some festival goers may be familiar with the bars on offer, as they'll be curated by those behind Glastonbury's Beat Hotel.

Organisers say: "GALA aims to ease Londoners into the summer with a crescendo like journey of socialising, dining, drinking with an all-out confetti filled hedonism finale. GALA is a community driven event that promotes premium local food and drink bringing together everything great about summer into one amazing celebration."

Gala takes place on May 28 at Brockwell Park, London.
