The Liverpool International Festival Of Psychdelia has announced a raft of additional acts and events to this year’s line-up including the curating of stage by Castle Face Records and rare UK performances by 70s Swedish psych trailblazers Träd Gräs Och Stenar and 70s Zambian psych rock band W.I.T.C.H..
The annual third-eye cleansing event – now in it sixth year – takes place at the Baltic Triangle in Liverpool and runs September 22 – 23. Already confirmed to play the internationally renowned event are headliners Black Angels and Songhoy Blues. Also playing are psych trailblazers Loop, former Stereolab frontwoman Laetitia Sadier and dub hero Adrian Sherwood.
Joining the already impressive line-up are The Bug vs Dylan Carlson, Jane Weaver, The Telescopes, Il Sogno Del Marinaio, Gnod, The Holdrug Couple, Fujiya & Miyagi, Cosmonauts, Patten, Krautwerk and Endless Boogie.
Elsewhere, Andy Votel, Steve Davis & Kavus Torabi, and The Brothers Grimm will be DJing. More DJs will be announced soon.
Castle Face Records will present Irregular Orbits – the label’s first ever curated festival stage and will feature some of the best bands on the labels roster including One & Future Band, Sunwatchers, Male Gaze, Magnetix and Duds. Over the years, the label have released records by the likes of White Fence, Warm Soda, POW!, Feels, Ty Segall, Useless Eaters, The Blind Shake, Fresh & Onlys among others.
As with previous years, there will be film shows, immersive AV, virtual reality, spoken word sessions and psychedelic installations, the details of which will be announced over the coming weeks.
