Span frontman, Jarle Bernhoft has been involved in a motorbike accident in Mali on 1st January. The singer has returned to Oslo to recover from a smashed knee and ligament damage. Luckily apart from a few cuts and bruises, nothing was broken.
The Norwegian band will release their debut album "Mass Distraction" and single "Don't Think The Way They Do" through Island Records in February. Despite their recent setback, Span will still be playing Drowned in Sound UK tour dates from 24th January. They will play the Islington Carling Academy in London on 19th February.
A spokesperson for the band has said in a statement "Jarle is determined to play all of the shows, he currently has his leg in a cast, but has a few weeks off now and we expect all touring to all go ahead as planned".
