Footballer Wayne Rooney and Stereophonics upset hotel guests Wednesday night (December 10th) when they held an impromptu after show party in a hotel room in Manchester.
Frontman Kelly Jones revealed that Rooney joined the group for a celebration after their show at the Manchester Evening News Arena. (You can see photos of the show below).
Although the footballer, a huge fan of the group, missed the concert because he was playing for Manchester United, Jones said he was eager to make a sing-a-long on the tour bus.
“His brother and mates came to both shows, then he (Rooney) came by after the game with his missus to celebrate,” Jones told the Sun newspaper.
“It was a top night. After the dressing room drink-up we all got in the tour bus and had a proper sing-song.”
But Jones said a few guests complained when they took their party back to the hotel.
“We had the iPod on, champagne, singing, laughing — then some complaints. Where did it all go wrong?”
As previously reported on Gigwise, Rooney invited the Welsh band to perform at his wedding earlier this year in Italy.
He also the name of the band's 2001 album 'Just Enough Education To Perform' tattooed on his forearm. To see the best tattoos in music, click here
