Two people have been left injured after a stabbing took place at the Parklife Weekender festival in Manchester this weekend.
Manchester Evening News reports that on the evening of Saturday 7 June, two men were stabbed 'during a brawl' at the event at Heaton Park - which saw performances from Snoop Dogg, Rudimental, Katy B, Foxes and many more.
Officials say that one of the two men was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary with serious but non-life threatening injuries and remains where he remains in a stable condition, and the other was treated by on-site medics and did not need hospital treatment.
Police arrested two men at the scene after they were alerted of an incident by staff at around 7.30pm.
Three fellow festival-goers were also injured in separate assaults at the event, but police re uncertain if weapons were involved.
Chief Inspector Gary Simpson said: "There have been a few isolated incidents at Parklife Weekender Festival which we believe have involved a weapon and have caused to injuries to five men.
"As a result, GMP have instigated an investigation which has resulted in two men being arrested at the venue."
Parklife Weekender came to a close last night with performances from Foals, Bastille, London Grammar, Sam Smith and many more.
