Klaxons have revealed that they will be embarking on the world's first ever 3D printed tour when they hit the road in late 2014.

This means that every item of equipment that the band takes on the road will be created from a printer: guitars, synthesisers, amps, drums, lights, everything seen on stage.

Jamie Reynolds from the band said of the idea in an official statement: "We're going to do something nobody has ever done before. Something big, something fresh. Why not?"

Watch the band discussing the idea below

The band will be touring in support of the Love Frequency album, which is due for release on 16 June. The tour it kicks off at the end of October at the Norwich Waterfront, so there is plenty of time for the band to get printing. Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday 13 June, to get yours, visit Gigwise tickets.
