The Vaccines have been forced to cancel several forthcoming gigs to allow frontman Justin Young to overcome a voice problem.
In a statement, the singer said he was suffering from “continuing issues” with his throat. Young has had two previous operations on his vocal chords.
"The doctor has ordered immediate vocal rest with the risk of permanent damage to my speaking and singing voice if ignored,” he said.
The cancelled shows are in Holland, Austria and Northern Ireland, but the band are still scheduled to perform at the Reading and Leeds festivals later this month.
The Vaccines released their debut album 'What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?' earlier this year.
