Guillemots' new album, the first in a four-part collection, has been released today. Check out 'Hello Land!' below.
The album is released through the band's website, plus iTunes and Amazon and is in association with The state51 Conspiracy. The album's release was announced just yesterday, with the band's frontman Fyfe Dangerfield speaking to Radcliffe and Maconie on 6Music about the album's release.
The band revealed that the new album is a rejection of the traditional album campaign, after the band became tired of conforming to music industry norms when it came to releasing a record.
'We decided last year that we didn't really want to make another record in the traditional cycle where you record an album, sit on it for months as a press campaign builds up to its release, and then tour it for months afterwards," say the band.
"It feels more exciting to make as much music as we can, put it out as soon as it's ready, and let people gradually find out about it through the year. So this is what we're doing!"
