Lupe Fiasco has decided to take an early retirement from rap music in an emotional tribute to the fans who have supported his career.
His new album ‘Food & Liqor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1’ is released September 25th, and Lupe has stated that this will be his last ever record.
Earlier today (6 September, 2012) he tweeted, “This album will probably be my last. It’s been a pleasure to have all my fans provide so much love and inspiration for me and my family.”
It seems the reason for his early retirement is down to personal reason., “My heart is broken and I see no comfort further along this path, only more pain," he added.
The 'Superstar' rapper is still under contract with Atlantic Records for one more album, so let’s just hope he changes his mind...
