French rock band, Phoenix have hinted that they will soon be getting into the studio with R Kelly following their onstage Coachella collaboration.
The R'n'B veteran stunned Coachella festival-goers back in April as he joined the group onstage to perform a mash-up of Kelly's 'Ignition' and Phoenix hit '1901'.
Speaking of the Coachella collaboration, guitarist Laurent Brancowitz said: "We are big fans and we asked him in a very simple way and explained what we had in mind and he just said yes."
Fellow band member, Christian Mazzalai also revealed that Phoenix hadn't even met R Kelly before the show as he turned up too late.
He added: "The funny part is he arrived late so we didn't see him before. We met him onstage. We didn’t rehearse so there was a beautiful tension."

Although it may be a long shot for fans to expect a Phoenix appearance on R Kelly's forthcoming LP, Black Panties, Mazzalai went on to sheepishly hint that there will be something in the near future.
When asked about working with Kelly again, he replied: "Yeah, maybe. Maybe. Maybe soon you will know. Maybe."
