The Libertines have announced their second gig of 2014, and have today (20 May 2014) been added to the line-up of Spain's Benicassim Festival.
The news comes from the band's Facebook page, where they had been posting hints about additional gigs since the announcement of their reunion for British Summer Time. Pete Doherty and company will take to the stage in Hyde Park on 5 July, it will be the first reunion show since 2010's Reading and Leeds shows.
"Ahoy. Anybody fancy a little trip to Spain then? We've been confirmed to play out in Benicàssim this July," the band wrote on their Facebook page as the posted the official line-up for the festival. See below.
The band recently stated that they planned to put on warm up shows in preparation for the Hyde Park gigs.
"We did mention it would be nice to do a warm-up," Carl Barat told the NME. "I’m sure the people who look at that stuff are fully clued up enough to leave the options open.
"It'd be cool to do somewhere of a similar size to The Forum, somewhere where the audience is likely to be one that’s really into it and potentially starved of it perhaps. Not giving away too many clues there…"
