James Arthur has confirmed that he has parted ways with Simon Cowell's Syco record label, despite previously denied being dropped.
Earlier this year, it was reported that after Arthur's controversial 'homophobic' rap attack, followed by him hitting out at the record industry on his All The World's A Stage mixtape, that Syco had enough of the X Factor winner and sacked him from the label.
Arthur claimed that the rumours were 'made up', but has now taken to Twitter to confirm them:
Just to clear things up - I am no longer with Syco. I would like to thank all at the label for making a great record with me.

Responding to his recent controversies, Cowell told Metro earlier this year that Arthur should "shut up and just put the records out".
"I think James, unfortunately, has had so many issues with what he has done publicly," he said, "which is a real issue with me."
Meanwhile, James Arthur has recently been added to the line-up of V Festival, where he'll appear alongside the likes of Justin Timberlake, The Killers, Elbow, Manic Street Preachers, Bastille and many more. For more information visit Gigwise tickets.
