Rain is continuing to lash down on Glastonbury as the festival enters its first official day of music, with revellers set to traipse through mud later tonight to watch the likes of Arcade Fire, Elbow, Lily Allen, Skrillex, and The War on Drugs today (Friday 27 June).

It's lashing it down, but that hasn't stopped people waiting for hours by the Other Stage for a less than 'secret' opening set by Kaiser Chiefs. Despite it being confirmed that Ricky Wilson and co will be appearing, rumours of Coldplay continue to spread among the foolish.

With rain intermittently battering the site since gates opened on Wednesday, BBC Weather reports that the wet weather shows no sign of stopping until Sunday, with clear skies hopefully on the horizon for closing headline sets from Kasabian, London Grammar and Massive Attack.

Today sees the festival officially start after warm up sets from East India Youth, LXURY, and Keith Allen last night, an evening which also saw secret sets by The 1975 and Metronomy on the Williams Green Stage.

Arcade Fire will bring Reflektor to The Pyramid Stage tonight for a long-awaited headline set, with dubstep superstar Skrillex taking top billing on The Other Stage after performances from Interpol, Paolo Nutini and Haim.

Stay tuned to Gigwise for all the Glastonbury happenings this weekend.
