Once in a while, an artist comes around with no hype and barely any airplay, and, simply through word of mouth, manages to explode. Ryn Weaver is one such artist. Listen to her new song, 'Promises', below.
The 21-year-old singer put her debut single 'OctaHate' online last month, and the internet went into meltdown. The artist no one had heard of managed to wrack up 1.3 million views in under a month.
She did have something of an impressive crack-team behind the scenes, including Charli XCX and Passion Pit's Michael Angelakos, so it's not exactly surprising she's gained such rapid success, but Weaver insists this collaboration came through a chance meeting at a party.
Clearly, whoever she is, this girl knows how to produce a helluva catchy pop hook, and 'Promises' continues Weaver along her trajectory to pop superstar. Find out why she's tipped for great things by Jessie Ware and the rest of the internet below.

This isn't the first music from the singer - she previously released a few songs under her real name, Aryn Wuthrich, but it was in releasing 'OctaHate' under new name Ryn Weaver that she really went viral.
'Promises' is taken from Weaver's forthcoming EP, which is set to be released soon.
