The massive Jay Z-organised event has so far seen performances from the likes of The National, Kanye West, Weezer, Grimes and many more - but had to come to a halt due to a battering of torrential rain.

The festival posted on Facebook:

"PHILLY, due to approaching severe weather, everyone should move quickly & calmly to exit & proceed to protected areas outside of the site.

"Please retain your tix for re-entry to the show. We will open gates once all is clear. All bands should play as scheduled after we re-open. C

"heck back here or on www.madeinamericafest.com for updates on re-entry information. Thank you for your cooperation."

The site was evacuated before the weather cleared and festival-goers were allowed re-entry. The updated set times are as follows (EDT):

7.45pm SPOON @ Rocky
8.25pm GIRL TALK @ Liberty
8.45PM GARETH EMERY @ Freedom
9.05pm PHARRELL WILLIAMS @ Rocky
