In news that will be of surprise to no one anywhere, it has been revealed Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' is the most popular Halloween song.
The stastistics come courtesy of a Spotify survey that analysed over 600,000 incredibly spooky playlists to find the results. Bobby "Boris" Pickett's 'Monster Mash' follows closely behind with Ray. J. Parker's 'Ghostbusters' theme song coming in third. 'This is Halloween' from The Nightmare Before Christmas comes in fourth and Richard 'O Brien's 'Time Warp' is at No.5.
The service also discovered that engagement for Halloween is up 117%, in relation to the creation of playlists, predicting that this year will be one of the biggest ever. Looking at which cities streamed Halloween playlists the most, Brighton came top, Bristol in second and Liverpool in third.
