Bob Geldof, Ed Sheeran and One Direction are among the stars who have arrived to record the Band Aid 30 single today.
Original Band Aid mastermind, Midge Ure was the first to descend upon the Sarm Studios in West London at 8am this morning, alongside co-founder Bob Geldof who told the media: "Buy this thing. Don't got looking for it for free".
The new version of super Christmas hit 'Do They Know It's Christmas' is being resurrected to raise money for Ebola and will be premiered on Sunday's X Factor show (16 November).
Queen's Roger Taylor, Rita Ora, Jessie Ware, Ed Sheeran and Clean Bandit were also seen entering the studio, as well as indie-rockers Bastille, who cancelled a number of Canadian shows to attend the session. Emili Sande was quoted as saying she felt "really honoured" to be taking part while Paloma Faith admitted: "It's nerve-wracking. I feel quite scared to be with that many of my peers".
The 2014 version of the song will feature new lyrics including: "Well tonight we're reaching out and touching you" replacing Bono's original infamous line "Well tonight thank god it's them instead of you."
The single will be available to buy online from 17 November while the physical release will be unveiled on 8 December.
