Producer Marc Collins has unveiled his debut release The Bristol EP, which is premiering today on Gigwise, check it out below.
An undeniably interesting focus for a first EP, the four track record sees the producer rework classic trip-hop tracks that put the West Country city on the musical map in his own unique style, maintaining the emotional intensity of the originals but bringing a nostalgic french edge to proceedings with cinematic tendencies.
‘Roads’ by Portishead, ‘Overcome’ by Tricky, 'Moog Island' by Morcheeba and ‘I Can Water My Plants’ by Monk & Canatella have all been given the overhaul by Collin, with the producer bringing subtle, sparse elements into play to show the tracks in a completely new light.

The EP is released through Kawaidan Records later this month, whilst Collin will be premiering the material live a special gig at Bristol's Spiegeltent on 17 December.
