Yesterday tragically saw singer Joe Cocker, known best for his jawdropping cover of The Beatles 'With A Little Help From My Friends' pass away - however some people on the internet seemed to think it was actually Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker that had died instead.
As is almost always the case with a celebrity death, confusion gripped some parts of the web, with many who weren't aware of Joe Cocker's work believing that the Britpop icon has passed on, tweeting messages of despair at the situation.
Many also believed the rumour that the two artists were related (which is completely untrue), culminating in a wealth of embarrassing tweets.
Some of the most confused tweets can be seen below:
My thoughts go out to Jarvis Cocker on the tragic death of his dad Joe.

Jarvis Cocker (who is alive and well), will return to the airwaves this weekend to present a special edition of his radio show on BBC 6 Music, after one year off the station.
A Seasonal Sunday Service airs at 4pm on Sunday (28 December).
