Will.i.am has stepped in on the controversy surrounding Iggy Azalea's place in the hip hop community, coming out in praise of the rapper.
In a series of tweets, The Black Eyed Peas frontman commended Azalea's impact as a white rapper in the genre, arguing that there are bigger things to worry about that race.
"it saddens me that people are making a big deal about race in hiphop & not ethics...today's ethics goes against our foundation" said Will.i.am in one tweet, harbouring a significantly different viewpoint to the likes of Azealia Banks, who hit out at Azalea recently.

Azalea has come under fire from many of her contemporaries in the last few weeks, whilst at the weekend hackers group Anonymous threatened to leak proof of a sex tape starring the rapper.
