XL Records may have temporarily excited fans by posting a 'save the date' message for Atoms for Peace, but they've now confirmed to Gigwise that there is not a new album coming from the band.
Thom Yorke is a busy man, releasing solo albums on BitTorrent and currently back in the studio with Radiohead, so it was something of a long shot anyway.
The Instagram photo, which has now been deleted, appeared to show the artwork from London/Newcastle trio 11 Paranoias. Despite our initial excitement though, it wasn't a hint of any kind.
The image was in fact just a photo of a detail from the screen printing room in the XL office, the record label has confirmed to Gigwise. They also apologised if the photo was misleading, but really, it was just our own wishful thinking.
Yorke has been named the most legally downloaded artist on BitTorrent in 2014 The Radiohead frontman released his second solo album Tomorrow's Modern Boxes in September of this year, with a free teaser from the record seeing over 116,000 downloads in the first 24 hours.
