Bastille experienced their first ever Grammys last night after being nominated for the Best New Artist Grammy courtesy of their huge hit "Pompeii".
Speaking to Billboard.com before the event drummer Chris "Woody Wood" revealed him and the band would be, "attending, losing, leaving and getting drunk", with singer Dan adding: "And maybe robbing Sam Smith later in the evening of a Grammy, we'll see."
The British boys sadly lost out on the gong in a tough category that included Iggy Azalea, Brandy Clark and HAIM, to big-winner of the night Sam Smith. They did however win on the red carpet by comparing the entire experience to "if an abattoir met with a sea current and some cameras".
They didn't seem phased however, admitting prior to the night that if they had won the award they would: "probably just run out the door as far away as possible." and sharing some exciteable tweets throughout the day.
