Lollapalooza Berlin has announced its first ever line-up, featuring The Libertines, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Sam Smith, Bastille, Franz Ferdinand and more.
The legendary US festival will be making its way to Europe for the first time this summer for a massive weekend in Germany, hosted at the iconic Templehof Airport.
The Sunday headliner will be announced on 1 June, but the line-up is already pretty strong: featuring Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Seeed, Beatsteaks, The Libertines, Sam Smith, Bastille, Parov Stelar, Tame Impala, Fatboy Slim, Dog Blood, Martin Garrix, Kygo, Robin Schulz, Belle and Sebastian, Hot Chip, CHVRCHES, FFS, Mighty Oaks, Run The Jewels, My Morning Jacket, Little Dragon, Crystal Fighters, Clean Bandit, MS MR, James Bay, Dada Life, Digitalism, Klangkarussell, Everything Everything, Glass Animals, Wolf Alice, Felix Jaehn, POND and Razz.
Interesting things to pick up from the announcement are that yes, Franz Ferdinand will be performing with synth heroes Sparks, and that it looks like Chvrches will be on the road around Europe this summer. Perhaps we can expect new material soon?
Lollapalooza Berlin takes place at Tempelhof Airport from 12 - 13 September, 2015. For tickets and more information, visit here.
