Faith No More have revealed the first single, 'Superhero', from their first new album in 18 years. Listen to it below.

The band reunited in 2009 after officially splitting back in 1998. They'll release their seventh LP, Sol Invictus, in May. Their last album prior to Sol Invictus was Album Of The Year, which was released in 1997.

They've now revealed the first official single from their forthcoming album. 'Superhero' opens with a punching guitar riff and bursting vocals before lapsing into something a bit gentler. It transitions between these two states throughout.

Speaking of the song to Marvel, Bill Gould said, "'Superhero' actually just started from the sound of the song, where it has these pounding drums and it has like this throbbing kind of pulse, and we just called it the 'Superhero' song. Because, a lot of the ways we write we visualize things."

'Superhero' will be released at a 7" on 17 March and digital on 31 March.
