Tired of the snow, Brooklyn? New York's very own Northside Festival have announced that topping its musical billing will be Run The Jewels, along with Best Coast, Neko Case and Against Me!.
During their recent concert at New York's Madison Square Garden, El-P and Killer Mike of Run The Jewels were joined on stage by Rage Against The Machine's Zack De La Rocha, but frankly the chemistry between EL-P and Killer Mike is a good enough reason to go to Northside Festival. Also set to perform are the likes of Alvvays, Built To Spill, Lower Dens, Viet Cong.

This June 11-14, over 30 venues and event spaces in Williamsburg and Greenpoint will host Northside's musical performances, with an estimated 400 bands involved. You'll also be able to catch some live music at the 6,000 capacity outdoor space at 50 Kent Avenue, as well as McCarren Park, which will serve as the event's headquarters, where attendees will pick up badges and wristbands, snag some free drinks and catch some free live shows.
In addition to music, the festival also features film, art and tech aspects, with 150 speakers and 50 films being shown. "Bands on the brink of major fame, innovators poised to lead the most disruptive startups, and filmmakers soon to be household names are what make Northside such an exceptional gathering," festival director Dana Keith shared in a press release. "The talent we’ve assembled this year will really take the festival to a whole new level."
